The concept of “Palm and Environment Horticulture”, allied to the Environment, Sustainability and Food, seeks to develop an idea of proximity, based on three premises: short circuits (or proximity between the place of food production and the place of consumption); the intergenerational relationship between adults and children, with a view to transmitting sustainable living practices; the length of a span and a half, estimated at approximately 30 centimeters, corresponds to the depth of the soil layer used by most horticultural crops.
It is important to note that the holistic approach, which is intended to be instilled in this project, is central to an efficient understanding of the concept of sustainable development. “Think global, act local” is a motto that everyone should keep in mind, as a way of making our land and the world sustainable places.
Main goal

Promote sustainable horticultural activity through a participatory and inclusive methodology; the management of organic waste; the reuse of inorganic waste; the correct management of water and soil; the most correct and sustainable food practices; the agri-food system; biodiversity and contact with nature.
